Matic now selects the closest anchor point during edge cleaning, reducing unnecessary jumps between areas and helping shorten overall cleaning time.

Improved interior coverage so Matic takes shorter, more direct routes and avoids unnecessarily long paths. Refined navigation behavior when starting very close and parallel to walls, resulting in a smoother, more efficient cleaning start.

More Accurate Navigation Around Edges

Updated Matic’s trajectory planning system for smarter, more flexible decision-making. This allows more accurate path tracking and improves how Matic predicts and cleans along toekicks and edges.

Better Edge Cleaning Stability

Matic now avoids unnecessary “escape” maneuvers when cleaning under toekicks. Instead, it uses improved tracking to smoothly guide itself out, resulting in steadier, more reliable edge cleaning.

New Child Lock FeatureiOS

You can now enable Child Lock in Settings to prevent accidental button presses. When Child Lock is on, pressing the on/off button will show a “Locked” message on Matic’s display, keeping your robot safe from curious hands.

More Reliable Docking

Matic now recovers from docking-related hiccups more gracefully. Temporary lift or tilt detections while docked are automatically cleared, and we’ve reduced unnecessary error messages; resulting in a smoother, more reliable return-to-dock experience.

Smarter Behavior in Tight Spaces

Matic now makes fewer repeated attempts to squeeze through tight spaces it can’t reliably navigate. This reduces getting stuck and improves overall cleaning efficiency.

Simpler Mapping Setup

If you delete your current primary map, the app now immediately shows Start Mapping instead of quietly switching you to another mission. This makes it clearer what’s going on and makes it easier to set up a new main map.

Improved Obstacle Handling

Reduced cases where Matic could appear stuck without any visible obstacles nearby. Fast obstacle detection has been added and tuned to persist correctly outside the robot’s immediate view, allowing smoother recovery around temporary or low obstacles.

Side Brush Jam Handling

Refined how Matic responds to side brush jams. Instead of triggering critical errors, Matic now continuously detects and handles these events in the background, minimizing interruptions and reducing cleaning time.

Pet Waste Map Refresh

Pet waste markers are now automatically cleared from the map after each session, ensuring a clean, updated map for future detection.

More Frequent Floor Save Points

Floor map edits are now saved more frequently, preventing progress loss and keeping map data more consistent across sessions.
