Faster Recovery After Being Moved

If you pick Matic up and set it down somewhere new, it now turns in place to look around and find itself on the map, instead of reporting itself lost when facing a wall or a bare corner.

Smoother Undocking

Fixed an issue where a cable, thin mat, or bit of cloth in front of the dock could stop Matic from leaving it. Matic now drives over small obstacles it can safely clear and only stops for things that truly block the way.

More Thorough Edge Cleaning

Matic now follows walls more closely when cleaning edges, covering about 4% more floor along the perimeter.

Faster Cleaning Start

Matic now checks its vacuum sensors in the background, so cleaning begins about a second sooner after you press start.

Better Coverage Along Floor Transitions

Matic now cleans more of the narrow strips where carpet meets hard floor next to walls.

Edge Cleaning in Tighter Spaces

Matic can now sweep along edges in gaps as narrow as 10.5 inches, down from 11.5 inches, helping it reach more nooks between furniture and walls.

Smarter Dock Search

If Matic loses track of its home dock, such as after getting lost and starting a fresh map, it now searches for other docks it knows instead of stopping in place.

New Cleaning Order

Standard cleans now start with toekicks and edges, then transitions, and finish with the open floor, so the areas you walk on are cleaned last.

Point at Stains and Spills

With Matic Cues on, point at a spot and say "Hey Matic, clean this spill" or "Hey Matic, clean this stain." Matic vacuums and mops dry stains, and gives wet spills extra mop passes.

Clearer Follow Me

While Matic follows you, its screen now stays on a Following view for the whole walk, and shows Paused when you press the button to pause it.

Smarter Brush Roll Troubleshooting

The app now tells you specifically whether the brush roll is missing, jammed, or the mop roll is jammed, with steps to fix it. If the problem keeps coming back after you've cleared it, Matic flags a possible hardware issue and points you to support.

Matic can now drive and turn at its full hardware speed when conditions are safe, reducing cleaning time by up to 6% on hard floors.

Better Recovery From Under Furniture

If Matic gets lost under low furniture, like deep under a bed, it can now find its way back out instead of staying stuck.

More Responsive to "Hey Matic"

Fixed an issue where Matic could fail to turn toward you after hearing the wake word. It now finds you reliably using your position at the moment you spoke.

More Reliable Pet Waste Alarms

Matic's pet waste detection is now trained on additional real-world scenarios, so it's less likely to mistake harmless floor patches for pet waste and needlessly avoid them.
